Community Delegates
To increase representation of voices from across our council, and especially from outstate Minnesota, Wisconsin, and our Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC) members, Girl Scouts River Valleys offers the opportunity for members to serve as community delegates. These self-identified Girl Scout community representatives are installed by the Board of Directors and serve through the current membership year, which ends September 30, 2022.
Responsibilities
The main responsibility of community delegates is to attend Girl Scouts River Valleys’ Annual Meeting to vote on the slate of the Board of Directors and Board Development Committee and any other council business.
The allotted number of community delegates varies year-to-year based on girl membership and number of elected service unit delegates. If you are interested in serving as a community delegate, please complete the interest form below.
Requirements
- Current Girl Scouts River Valleys member
- Can be girl or adult members; girls need to have turned 14 years old by October 1 of the current year.
