Blazing trails and redefining what's possible for girls everywhere? Girl Scouts has been empowering the next generation of leaders since 1912.
Today, we're a global movement dedicated to making a difference and helping kids discover who they are and everything they're capable of accomplishing today, tomorrow, and beyond.
Girl Scouts uphold the Promise and Law in everything they do. Often recited at the start of a troop meeting or gathering, the Girl Scout Promise and Law remind us to be honest, to help people at all times, and to make the world a better place.

Girl Scout Law
I will do my best to be
honest and fair,
friendly and helpful,
considerate and caring,
courageous and strong,
and responsible for what I say and do,
and to respect myself and others,
respect authority,
use resources wisely,
make the world a better place,
and be a sister to every Girl Scout.
Girl Scouts of the USA
Girl Scouts River Valleys works hand-in-hand with Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA), our parent organization. Annual membership dues are paid directly to this national organization to cover the cost of fundamental services supporting the Girl Scout Movement. GSUSA provides service and support to councils, providing volunteers with the relevant resources, tools, and training they need to best serve today’s girls.
