Girl Scout memberships follow our program year, which runs from October 1 through September 30, and the cost for the 2026–2027 membership year is $65 for youth and $30 for adults.

How to Renew Your Troop toggle arrow

Log into MyGS, navigate to My Account, then My Troop(s).
Select the Select All boxes for both youth and adult members in your troop.
1. If there are members renewing individually, uncheck their boxes. Members planning to request financial assistance or renew using program credits must complete renewal on their own.
2. For adult members, uncheck any volunteer roles they do not plan to hold next year.
3. For members who are not renewing, check the Not Returning checkbox.
Click Renew next to Member Details.
Review each troop member's contact information, choose the next membership year product, select your preferred payment type, and click Save Details.
Select Review Your Cart, agree to the Girl Scouts of the USA Promise and Law, and click Add Payment Details.
Enter your credit card information for payment and Submit Payment.
Once your transaction is processed, you will receive an email confirmation of your membership renewal(s).

If you lead multiple troops, repeat this process for each troop.

How to Renew Yourself and/or Your Family toggle arrow

Log into MyGS, navigate to My Account, then My Household.
Select the Select All checkboxes for both youth and adult members in your household.
1. Select the Not Returning checkbox next to any troops or roles you are not continuing with next year.
2. Please contact us if you would like to be added to a new community or area volunteer role for the next membership year.
Click Add Renewal next to My Household members.
Review and confirm each household member’s details, choose the next membership year product, select your preferred payment type, and click Save Details.
Select Review Your Cart, agree to the Girl Scouts of the USA Promise and Law, and click Add Payment Details.
Enter your credit card information and click Submit Payment.
Once your transaction is processed, you will receive an email confirmation of your membership renewal(s).

How to Renew Your Role as a Lifetime Member toggle arrow

As a lifetime member, we ask you to renew your volunteer role(s) each membership year in MyGS to ensure we have accurate information about how you are participating. There is no payment required.

Adult members can renew themselves and any members of their household. Troop leaders can renew themselves and members of their troop (both adults and youth).

How do I pay for renewal? toggle arrow

We encourage troops to use troop funds to pay for their membership renewals. Renewal can be paid online through MyGS using a credit card. Additional payment options include Financial Assistance and Program Credits. 

To request financial assistance to pay for your renewal, select the Financial Assistance option on the payment screen. Financial assistance is available for annual membership renewal for both youth and adults. It is not available for Lifetime Memberships. 

To use Cookie Credits, Fall FUNds, or Juliette Program Credits to pay for your renewal, select the Program Credits option on the payment screen. Then submit the Program Credit Redemption Form. Renewal is not complete until credits are received and applied. 

How do graduating Girl Scout Seniors renew as adults? toggle arrow

Graduating Girl Scout Seniors can be renewed by their caregiver in MyGS. They will be given the option to purchase an adult annual membership or a Young Alum Lifetime Membership. Details about Young Alum Lifetime Memberships are sent to graduating seniors the spring of their senior year.

What if my troop is disbanding or my troop of 12th graders are all graduating? toggle arrow

If your troop will not be continuing next year (either because it is disbanding, or the troop members will be graduating) please complete the Troop Disband Form.
