Girl Scouts River Valleys is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all Girl Scouts and their families and boldly leading as an anti-racist organization.
Core to this commitment are our efforts to increase visibility, build trust, and cultivate authentic and holistic relationships with communities of color in our council region through BIPOC troop programs, local partnerships, culturally relevant programming, grass roots outreach and more.
Communities We Serve
Girl Scouts River Valleys partners with educators and local organizations including schools, youth organizations, and faith-based organizations that are reflective of communities of color. These partnerships allow us to offer culturally meaningful Girl Scout programming to Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) girls, where their identities and experiences are centered and celebrated. To provide these life-changing experiences for Girl Scouts, we need partners like you to join us in our mission for every girl to see and reach their full potential.
Ways You Can Get Involved
Distribute flyers about the programming we offer to families.
Hang our posters at your site location.
Provide a space for us to host an event and help us to promote the program.
Notify us when you have upcoming events where we could have a table.
Share information about our program with adults you think would make great troop leaders or with girls who would benefit from Girl Scouts.
Together, Girl Scouts, educators, community organizations, and families can set girls up for ultimate success and happiness.
