Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors is made up of twenty-five elected individuals with diverse skills and experience from across our council. This group is responsible for guiding the direction of Girl Scouts River Valleys. The Board includes five officers and twenty directors-at-large, up to two of which are youth members. Board members are volunteers and members of Girl Scouts of the USA.
The Board Development Committee is an elected committee of volunteers responsible for the selection, training, and evaluation of the Board of Directors. This committee is always interested in maintaining a highly qualified, diverse pool of candidates for openings as they become available.

Board and Board Development Committee members are elected at Girl Scouts River Valleys’ Annual Meeting, held in mid-winter, and begin their term upon election. Applications are considered by the Board Development Committee on a rolling basis throughout the year.
