At Girl Scouts River Valleys, everything we do starts with our mission: to build girls of courage, confidence, character, and curiosity who make the world a better place.
To ensure we can deliver on this mission for years to come, we are making an important change. We are redesigning our staffing model — a strategic and thoughtful step toward strengthening our long-term sustainability and continuing to deliver meaningful, high-quality experiences for girls and families.
Why This Change?
A Mission-Driven Decision
Our world is changing—and Girl Scouts River Valleys must evolve too. This transformation is about making sure we stay relevant, accessible, and impactful for today’s girls and the communities we serve.
A More Focused, Streamlined Structure
The redesigned model will allow us to prioritize the experiences and programs that have the greatest impact. This includes a reduction in our workforce and a shift in resources to ensure we can serve more Girl Scouts in more places, across urban, suburban, and rural communities, with strength and focus.
A Decision Grounded in Data and Care
This change comes after over a year of thoughtful analysis, including financial modeling, studying demographic shifts, changes in family life, youth engagement, and volunteering trends. We’ve approached this decision with deep care and responsibility for both our mission and the people who make it possible.
