Session 1: Make New Friends
Language and Literacy are important parts of kindergarten readiness. Through storytelling and re-telling, Make New Friends participants will identify major characters, setting, and basic storylines to build their ability to react to words and understand their meaning. Join us for story time, show and tell, and to learn fun ways to meet new people!
Session 2: Robot Friends
Kids are little scientists and are eager to observe and make discoveries about their worlds. An important part of kindergarten is learning how to use their senses to observe the world, discover how things work, and use their new knowledge to solve problems. Participants will use their STEM brain to learn about what it means to robot!
Session 3: Nature Friends
Going into kindergarten, kids should be able to show interest in an idea and ask questions about what they are seeing. In this session, your child will learn by doing by exploring the many things that can show up in nature!
Session 4: Fun with Friends
As new kindergartners, kids will begin to see themselves as unique individuals who have their own abilities, emotions, and interests. Fun with Friends will help your child take flight to explore places with their imagination and imagine themselves as new kindergartners!
