During the week of October 9, in celebration of International Day of the Girl, we are inviting our alums from near and far to share how Girl Scouts has impacted their journeys and set them up for a life of continued success. Whether you were a top cookie seller, a camp counselor, or a dedicated troop leader, you are living proof that Girl Scouts works!
Help us spread the good word about how Girl Scouting builds people of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
How to Get Involved
Show Your Pride as a Volunteer
We know that our volunteers work hard to create incredible experiences and lasting memories for Girl Scouts. Troop leaders, service unit managers, and cookie cupboard managers are just a few of the essential volunteer roles that power Girl Scouts’ work in our council. Give yourself some credit and show your Girl Scout pride by adding us to your volunteer experience on LinkedIn! Plus, don’t forget to stop and connect with your fellow volunteers from our council while you’re at it.
Share Your Girl Scouting Story
Every alum has a Girl Scouts story. What’s yours? Maybe you found your passion for entrepreneurship through the Cookie Program. Perhaps you discovered a reverence for the natural world through camp experiences. Or maybe you learned about the importance of helping others thrive through community service projects. Whatever Girl Scouting inspired in you, tell us how you’re carrying those lessons with you now!
Are you an independent businessperson who started learning sales techniques at the cookie booth? Perhaps you’re an elected leader who first learned how to use your voice in Girl Scouts. Maybe you’re an engineer who got started tinkering in Daisy STEM programs! Whatever your journey looks like, our stories are powerful, and they make a difference.
Share your throwback photos, Girl Scouting memorabilia, and personal testimonies on LinkedIn along with campaign hashtag #GirlScoutsAreEverywhere!
