Cookie Spotlight Weekly Winners
Week 5: Daisy/Brownie/Junior Winner
Juliette Claudia M.
With the support of her cookie manager mom, Claudia found a way to sell on her own as the only seller in the troop. It quickly became a family effort—even her older brother, Caleb, helped by asking his middle school teachers to support his sister. Claudia set a modest goal of 50 boxes, but her dedication helped her triple that number, selling 163 boxes! She also exceeded her donation goal, selling 13 boxes for charity.
Week 5 - Cadette/Senior/Ambassador Winner
Troop 18051 (pictured: Jennavive B., Zasha B., and Emily M.)
Ambassador Troop 18051 has taken cookie sales to a whole new level—selling ON Lake Waconia to ice fishers! Led by Jennavive, the girls created a mobile cookie booth using an old trailer and an ATV. Each year, they improved their setup with signs, storage, and new features. This year, Emily joined Jennavive and Zasha, braving freezing temperatures to sell for 4-6 hours on the ice. They even take a lunch break at a local restaurant, which supports them by buying cookies too! This year is bittersweet as the girls prepare to Bridge to Adults, but they will always cherish their one-of-a-kind cookie adventure!
Week 4: Daisy/Brownie/Junior Winner
Troop 58515 (pictured: Phoenix M)
Phoenix, a determined 7-year-old Daisy, had her best selling day ever, moving over 120 packages across two booths! As the only seller in her troop, she didn’t slow down.
She started the day at drag story hour, selling door-to-door before her first booth. She meticulously arranged cookies in rainbow order and took charge, telling parents to “step back” so she could organize. Even though the booth sold only 9 packages, she stayed positive, made new friends, and spread the word about Girl Scouts.
At her second booth, Phoenix greeted customers, handed out Cookie Entrepreneur business cards, and promoted her cookie website. Her top selling strategy? Encouraging customers to order girl delivery—promising to bring them more cookies when they run out! She sold an impressive 8 cases and confidently declared she plans to be president one day!
Week 4 - Cadette/Senior/Ambassador Winner
Troop 17936 (pictured: Aida L.)
In her 10th year selling Girl Scout cookies, this dedicated Dream Team seller continues to ask everyone she sees—even though she hears more "no’s" as she gets older. One slow morning at a Lowe’s cookie booth, she asked a passing couple if they’d like to buy cookies. When they didn’t respond, she assumed they were ignoring her—until she noticed them signing to each other in ASL. Without hesitation, she began signing back, engaging in a five-minute conversation with them.
After three years of ASL study, she confidently discussed cookie flavors, even sharing tips like microwaving Adventurefuls for extra gooey goodness! The couple happily bought three boxes before continuing their shopping. Later, their adult CODA (Child of Deaf Adults) daughter approached and thanked her for taking the time to connect with her parents. She shared how rare and meaningful that experience was for them.
A simple moment of kindness and communication turned into something truly special—and a proud parent moment to remember!
Week 3: Daisy/Brownie/Junior Winner
Troop 27514 (pictured: Reese D., Penelope P., Nora M., and Nora S.)
Daisy Troop 27514 prepared for their first ever cookie booth by having a meet-up to create signs and talk about their favorite cookies to eat. They spent several meetings working on cookie-selling information, learning about different types of money, and practicing counting and making change. The girls also went over each cookie type and practiced saying what they liked about each flavor. Perfecting their sales pitch with each other was tons of fun too! They put in lots of hard work to be prepared for selling. At their Booth, they helped set up the table with all the cookie varieties and took turns wearing a fun cookie costume to help draw customers in. Their enthusiastic personalities and smiling faces helped sell 55 boxes in two hours! Way to go, Troop 27514!
Week 3 - Cadette/Senior/Ambassador Winner
Troop 57589 (pictured: Felix R.)
Felix offers cookies to everyone, keeps a positive attitude no matter what the response, and thanks customers for supporting Girl Scouts if they say they've already purchased cookies from another troop. As the only one currently selling in our troop, Felix tries to support troops before and after our booths when possible.
Each year, the troop highlight is donating to Gillette Children's Hospital over St. Patrick's Day weekend. After today’s booth, Felix has collected 225 packages for donation! Some proceeds go toward making tie blankets for the kids at Gillette, and the annual cookie and blanket drop-off is Felix’s favorite part of the season
With 11 years of cookie sales experience, Felix has gained confidence, responsibility, money management, and communication skills. Selling cookies has also taught valuable lessons in goal setting and perseverance, especially during slower sales periods.
Week 2 - Daisy/Brownie/Junior Winner
Troop 47959 (pictured: Vera B. and Hope A.)
Troop 47959 knows that teamwork is key to a successful cookie booth! They’ve assigned job roles to each scout—Order Taker, Packager, and Cashier—rotating throughout their shift to practice customer service, inventory management, and money skills.
To make selling even more fun, they use a BINGO board strategy, which customers love, and scouts earn exciting rewards like spa nights, ice cream socials, and s’mores nights! 🍦🔥 This year, they added a “Spin the Wheel” game to help undecided customers choose their cookies—making the experience even more engaging!
Way to go, Troop 47959! Keep up the creativity and teamwork!
Week 2 - Cadette/Senior/Ambassador Winners
Troop 57748 (pictured: June F., Hannah D., & Isla H.)
Our eight Cadettes worked together to engineer, build, and decorate their “food Truck Cookie booth. They collaborated well and were very excited to get the truck on the road for a full day of Walmart booths. It really upped the customer interest and the girls excitement to sell in this weekend’s beautiful weather.
With six years of experience selling together, these Girl Scouts have shifted their focus to team success over individual goals and are becoming more engaged as a team. This year they really pushed to have more booths, which has been exceptional for their team focus. They are also managing a cookie inventory of over 3000 packages and carefully planning their booth needs and troop inventory to not over-commit to cookies while also maintaining enough on-hand for upcoming needs. For the first time, inventory management has become a scout-led role—with adult volunteers stepping back into supervision.
Way to go, Cadettes! Your teamwork, leadership, and business skills are inspiring! 💪🎉
Week 1 - Daisy/Brownie/Junior Winner
Troop 18533 (pictured: Jenell P. and Aaliyah T)
This is Jenell and Aaliyah's first booth ever and they rocked it! They identified this location in their community for the booth, and approached the owner to set it up. They grew in confidence throughout the day and the community rallied around them, asking them questions, helping with math and one customer even bought THEM a box of cookies to snack on! They had a visit from the Sisters of Charity and fielded questions from families who are new to the country who didn't know about Girl Scouts, where they shared why they love Girl Scouts, the fun things they do and more! They were just shy of 100 boxes by the end of the booth! They wrote/drew a thank you letter for the owner and got invited back! So proud :)
Lydia Mae is a believer in supporting your community. Northside cub in North Minneapolis is a big supporter for local community and often have Youth Football teams bag groceries for their fundraising. She was met with several young boys moving shopping carts for customers and directing them to her booth . She decided even before that day to make sure all of her cookie donations stayed local and she made a connection with the coach and made a plan. She has a big goal of 3000 this year and she has been a staple at our local Northside Cub and has had lots of return customers happy to see her back every weekend. Some of the customers have been buying from her since she was a Daisy. She has also made an effort to encourage other young girls to join Girl Scouts while at the cookie booth. Lydia Mae plans to start her own Daisy Troop as soon as she Graduates and of course she’s already recruited her Mother to be her Cookie Mom when she starts her own troop.
