Celebrate Pride Month 2025 with Girl Scouts River Valleys
June 01, 2025
June is Pride Month, and Girl Scouts River Valleys invites all members to celebrate and learn together. From earning a Pride Month fun patch to attending family-friendly events across our region, there are many ways to show support, build understanding, and live our Girl Scout values of inclusion, equity, and respect.
Whether you’re a troop leader, Girl Scout family, or volunteer, you can make a difference by learning more about the LGBTQIA+ community and helping every Girl Scout feel safe, welcome, and empowered.
What is Pride Month?
Pride Month is celebrated every June to honor the history, culture, and contributions of the LGBTQIA+ community. The month commemorates the 1969 Stonewall Uprising and shines a light on the ongoing movement for equal rights and inclusion.
At Girl Scouts River Valleys, we believe in celebrating every girl and volunteer for who they are—and supporting their right to be fully themselves. Pride Month is one way we show that commitment in action.
Earn the Pride Month Fun Patch
Your troop or Girl Scout can earn a special Pride Month fun patch by completing a variety of activities that uplift LGBTQ+ history and promote allyship.
