2018 Destinations Application Timeline

Fall 2017

Girl Scouts of the USA will post details and applications for 2018 and 2019 Destinations trips on their For Girls website. Information will be posted on a rolling basis throughout Fall 2017.

Round 1 Applications

November 20, 2017

Round 1 applications are due to Girl Scouts River Valleys. We will review your application and send it out to sponsors.

December 5, 2017

Girl Scouts River Valleys will complete sending Round 1 applications to sponsors.

January 5, 2018

All Round 1 applicants will be notified of their application status.

January 19, 2018

Round 1 participants who are accepted into the Destinations program must pay a deposit to hold her place for the 2018 trip.

Round 2 Applications

February 7, 2018

Round 2 applications are due to Girl Scouts River Valleys. We will review your application and send it out to sponsors.

February 20, 2018

Girl Scouts River Valleys will complete sending Round 2 applications to sponsors.

March 2, 2018

All Round 2 applicants will be notified of their application status.

March 18, 2018

Round 2 participants who are accepted into the Destinations program must pay a deposit to hold her place for the 2019 trip.

Applications After March 18, 2018

Most sponsors who still have space on 2018 Destinations will to continue to accept applications on a rolling basis until trips are full or recruitment is closed. Girl Scouts River Valleys can choose whether or not to continue accepting and forwarding girls’ applications.

Following March 18, 2018, recruitment for 2019 Destinations will be suspended, and will begin again in August 2018.
