2023 Journey
to Panama
Join Girl Scouts River Valleys for our Council-led trip to Panama in
July 2023! There is so much more to explore and learn about this
isthmus nation than just the Panama Canal! On this 8 day trip, Girl
Scouts will canoe in Chagres National Park, go snorkeling on the
Caribbean Coast, and experience Panamanian culture through dance,
visiting cultural centers, and interaction with locals on this

2024 Japan: Land of the
Rising Sun
If you are a girl or troop who loves adventure, making new friends,
and exploring other countries and cultures, our 2024 Japan: Land of
the Rising Sun tour is the perfect opportunity for you! We will
explore the treasures of Japan from past and present; from the
bustling streets of Tokyo to the ancient temples of Kyoto. A Japan
tour isn't complete unless you stroll through sacred shrines, selfie
with the Great Buddha in Kamakura, and catch a glimpse of majestic

trips that last two to four days. You can experience all that our
country has to offer, whether you’re “blasting off” at Space
Camp in Alabama, taking in a Broadway show in New York
City, or visiting the birthplace of Girl Scouts’ founder, Juliette

not take place during summer 2021. Destinations will resume in 2022.
The early application period is now open for 2022 Destinations.

Destinations Applications
Complete your online
application well in advance of the deadlines. For Round 1,
complete your application by February 1, so that your
references have time to finish their section by the Round 1 deadline:
February 15. For Round 2, complete it by June 1, so
your references can finish by the Round 2 deadline: June 15.
After June 15, applications are open on a rolling basis. If you are
applying after June 15, before you apply, call or email the
Destination’s contact person for each trip to make sure there is still
space. If you have problems completing your application, email destinations@girlscouts.org.
We recommend that you complete and save the Destinations
Application Worksheet first to prepare your application, and
then cut and paste the data into the online application.
