Have a two-day troop adventure at camp! Campers will enjoy beautiful Camp Singing Hills while bonding with their troopmates and experiencing fun staff-led and troop-led activities.
One troop leader will register for the entire group by reserving a housing unit (booking a cabin or yurt), rather than registering each individual camper. Shady Glen Cabins sleep up to 16 people; Windsong Yurts sleep up to 12.
Troops can bring more adults than required by their program grade level ratio if desired. As long as Girl Scout Safety-Wise guidelines and ratios are met for the troop's age level, groups may bring any youth-to-adult-ratio desired. All adults must be registered and background checked members.
Activities: The adventure kicks off on Thursday with a snack and choice of a staff-led activity (archery, slingshots, low ropes/teambuilding games, canoeing, kayaking, or paddleboarding). After the staff-led activity which lasts approximately 75 minutes, troops will have free time for troop bonding and exploring camp.
Troops will also have approximately 3 hours of downtime during their stay for troop-led activities. Campers can hike or bike around camp, play a game in the playfield, try geocaching, bring something to tie-dye, or work on a badge. These activities are planned and facilitated by the troop.
Meals:Meals will be provided in our dining hall by kitchen staff. Space will be available for troops to bring additional snacks and food items, including refrigeration.
Housing:Windsong Yurts sleep up to 12 people. They contain six bunks as well as screened in, roll-up windows and an overhead dome that opens for circulation. Yurts have electrical outlets and overhead fans, but do not have heat, air conditioning, or lights (bring flashlights). There is access to bathrooms with flush toilets just a short walk away. A shower house is also available.
Registration of group: Prior to arrival, group leaders will receive an email requesting individual registration for all participants. Please note that all participants must be Girl Scout members, and adult participants must be registered as an active adult with an up-to-date background check.
Group leaders will also be asked to complete an online form to select troop's choice of one staff-led activity and notify staff of any dietary restrictions or special accommodations needed. Groups will receive their schedule for staff-led events and swim times upon arrival.
Payment Details:
- A non-refundable, non-transferable deposit is required to secure your spot.
- Full payment is due 30 days before the camp session begins.
- For financial assistance, pay the deposit with a credit card, select "Financial Aid" as the payment type, and provide attendees with the order number to complete their application.
- For program credits, pay the deposit with a credit card, select "Program Credits" as the payment type, and provide attendees with the order number to submit their credits using this form.
Cancellations:
- Refunds (minus the deposit) are available if cancellations are submitted at least 30 days before the session start date.
- Deposits cannot be refunded or transferred.
- Submit the Events & Camp Cancellation Form to cancel your registration.
