Grades 6-12: Get ready to live boldly and make a difference! This interactive virtual event, featuring four-time New York Times bestselling author Luvvie Ajayi Jones, dives into her empowering book, Rising Troublemaker: A Fear-Fighter Manual for Teens.

Here's what's in store for you:

  • A dynamic Q&A with Luvvie where you'll hear personal insights and tips on navigating challenges and embracing your authentic self.
  • Inspiration on how to use your voice and actions to spark positive change.
  • Strategies to overcome fears, take up space, and live confidently and boldly.

How to Get the Book + Patch

  • Girl Scouts River Valleys Members + Non-Members: A copy of the book and patch will be shipped to you upon registration (fees apply).  Register by April 27 in order to receive the book and patch for the event.
  • Girl Scout Members of additional participating councils (see list below): Check with your council for book + patch distribution details.
  • Girl Scout Members of non-participating councils: Purchase the book on your own here or at your favorite bookstore (patch not included).

Youth Focused Event: Teens and tweens, this one's for you! But if parents or caregivers want to join the fun, they're welcome to come along.

Payment details: Full payment is due at the time of registration.

GSRV Members: If you need to request financial assistance or would like to pay for this event with Program Credits, please contact GSRV prior to registering for the event.  First submit your request or payment with the financial assistance application or the program credit redemption form. We will complete registration on your behalf using the information provided. 

Cancellations: The payment from your cancelled event cannot be transferred or refunded. To cancel your registration to the virtual event, notify us by emailing girlscouts@girlscoutsrv.org.
