Grades 4-5 in Fall 2024: Join mental health experts at Acres for Life for a unique experience to know your emotions and earn a new Girl Scout patch! Girl Scouts will work with licensed mental health experts and will have the opportunity to interact with horses to have structured conversations about:
- Positive coping skills when you feel stressed or anxious

How to name your feelings to talk about them
- Ways to show
kindness to others who might be going through a tough time.
Acres for Life is a team of licensed, credentialed mental health professionals, equine specialists, and 16 horses who offer mental health services using the principles of equine therapy. This special Girl Scout experience is offered to help Girl Scouts learn more about mental health and healthy coping strategies. Girl Scouts will have the opportunity to interact with horses if they choose to and will participate in activities with and without animals. This is not a horse riding or therapy experience.
When you've completed this patch, you'll know how to name your feelings and use positive coping skills!

Adult/Youth Ratio: Only 1 adult is required to register and attend with every 10 youth members. More may register as needed by the troop.
Payment details: This event has a minimum deposit. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Full payment is due by registration close date.

The deposit from your cancelled event cannot be transferred, nor refunded. To receive a refund, less the non-transferable/non-refundable deposit, we must receive your cancellation notice by the posted cancellation deadline (30 days prior to the program start date). To cancel your registration, submit the Events & Camp Cancellation Form.
