Scholarships for Girl Scouts

As a Girl Scout, you've been busy making the world a better place by showing leadership and dedication to your community and peers. Girl Scouts River Valleys wants to support you as you continue your education and dream big about your future.

Gold Award Scholarship toggle arrow

This merit-based scholarship is intended to provide financial support towards higher learning for Gold Award Girl Scouts recipients.

Eligibility

Applicants must have their Gold Award final reports approved by the scholarship deadline to be considered for the current year scholarship.
Applicants must be at least a senior in high school, or first year. (freshman)/second year (sophomore) in post-secondary college, university, or trade school in the United States.
Applicants must be a current Girl Scout or adult member of Girl Scouts River Valleys. If you need to check your membership status, please contact scholarship@girlscoutsrv.org. Financial assistance is available.
Recipients of the Gold Award may receive the scholarship two times total and must submit a new application each year for consideration.

Award Amount

Up to 10 scholarships will be awarded in the range of $500 - $2,000 each.

Amount can be prorated by semester for tuition, campus housing, and/or books, however the scholarship must be sent directly to the institution.

Deadline

All materials, including Letters of Recommendation, must be completed online, emailed, or postmarked by 11:59 pm (CST) May 1 annually.

The merit-based scholarship provides a stepping-stone to higher learning for currently registered Girl Scouts who represent the highest ideals in Girl Scouting. The scholarship is for study at an accredited post-secondary institution and is intended to support students from diverse backgrounds who are leaders in the community.

Eligibility

Applicants must be a current girl or adult member of the Girl Scouts River Valleys. If you need to check your membership status, please contact Scholarship@girlscoutsrv.org. Financial assistance is available.

All applicants must be graduating seniors OR have graduated high school and are currently enrolled in post-secondary education.

Award Amount

Scholarship will be $500

Deadline

All materials must be submitted electronically by December 31 annually.
