2023 Cookie Program by the Numbers

Congratulations River Valleys Girl Scouts and cookie volunteers for another sweet 2023 Cookie Program! No matter what came your way this season, your innovation, dedication, and creativity were unmatched-we are sending a big Toast-YAY your way! This can-do spirit is just one of the reasons we are one of the top councils for cookie sales in the country. We are so pleased to share the end of the cookie season totals:
Total packages sold: 3,787,000
Number of Girl Scouts selling: 11,465
Per Girl Average (PGA): 330
Troop proceeds: $3,430,000
Cookie Variety Mix
$6400 to Wildlife Rehabilitation Center
$6400 was donated to benefit the animals at the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center through our LemonAID Program. The Wildlife Rehabilitation Center extends a special thank you to all Girl Scouts that teamed together to make this impactful donation.
Cookie Care Program Donations
Over 93,500 packages of cookies were donated in our communities to worthy organizations to benefit the American Red Cross, food shelves, school lunch programs, and many, many additional organizations too numerous to mention.
Cookie Booths
Troops participated in 17,400 booth timeslots at locations throughout our council area. A special shout-out to Cub, your local grocery store. We are continually grateful for their partnership each year as they generously offer Cookie Booth opportunities at their 70+ locations during the cookie season. Through this partnership, our Girl Scout entrepreneurs sold over 400,000 packages alone at Cub locations this season.
As we say goodbye to our friend Clicker the dolphin, we are ready to have “alotl” fun with our new mascot, the axolotl! Watch for the dates for the 2024 Cookie Program to be announced this fall.
Fall Snacks & Magazines Program
Speaking of fall, our Snacks & Magazines Program (aka Fall Product) will begin on September 25. Get ready to “Own Your Magic” with the program mascot, the ocelot. Your troop won’t want to miss out on new elements of the program! It’s still a fast, easy, and fun way to earn proceeds and kick off the new Girl Scout year. Plus, the yummy snacks and terrific magazine reads are “paws-i-tively” fantastic holiday gifts. Watch for more details this summer coming to your inbox and to GirlScoutsRV.org.
