Grades 9-12: Hello Girl Scout Leadership Institute! We are excited to share that GSLI has again been invited to attend the Honeywell Leadership Challenge Academy (AKA Space Camp) this year! Hosted at the U.S. Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama, the annual academy brings together students aged 16-18 for hands-on STEM learning and leadership development. From rocket design and coding to mission-based teamwork, participants experience what it takes to solve complex challenges - together. This opportunity is for ALL academic areas of interest, and the skills learned will help with leadership, communication, teamwork, and other skills that apply to any career field of interest. It also allows students to interact with international peers, fostering cross-cultural communication, and collaboration. Moreover, the camp's exposure to real-world problems helps students develop critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership, which are all crucial in today's fast-paced, technology-driven world.
Details: 10 Girl Scouts will be selected to attend
this camp with all program, travel, lodging, and meal expenses
covered. The 2026 camp takes place October 18th-October 23rd, with
GSRV flying out on October 17th.

Applications:
In order to be considered a candidate, Girl Scouts must meet
the following criteria and must
fill
out the application form
by July 10th.

Be available October 17th (departure day) through October 23rd (return travel day).

Be 16, 17, or 18 years old during the camp dates.

Have not participated in Honeywell Space Camp before.

Have an ID or Passport by August 1st, 2026, so we can have your ID/Passport number for flight registration.

Be able to bring pocket money for any food purchased during travel dates at the airport, as well as for any souvenirs/miscellaneous purchases at the Space Center.
