Now is a great time to join Girl Scouts!

Is your girl looking to make new friends, get active in her community, and have fun? Then Girl Scouts is the place for you! In Girl Scouts, your girl will shine in confidence-boosting, girl-approved exciting experiences. She’ll get moving as she engages in enriching programs that blend critical life skill development with activities that support academic success. From learning about STEM, the outdoors, and life skills to changing the world—Girl Scouts explore, grow, and do amazing things as they connect with each other, their families, their communities, and their world.

Start and Lead a New Girl Scout Troop

Are you a caring person? Welcoming? Organized? You know who’d make a good Girl Scout Troop Leader? Yes, you! We want every girl to have the opportunity to participate in Girl Scouts and have a role model like you to look up to. You can team up with a friend, neighbor, or other parent and start making a difference to girls in your community. We’ll provide you with training, resources, and a network of support. Most troops of 10-12 girls meet once or twice a month for 60-90 minutes as girls work through skill building activities, go on field trips, or participate in council sponsored programs. You can do this! Get started today.

Best of all, if you sign up to lead a new troop now, your membership is free and so is a membership for one new girl, both valid until September 2022 ($70 value). Register today and get started with the Spring 2021 New Leader Cohort.

Join a Troop

Troops are groups of girls (often associated with a specific grade and school or community area) that meet once or twice a month and are led by a troop leader with the help of other parent/caregiver volunteers. Know of a Girl Scout troop already meeting in your community or looking for a troop to join? Visit our troop catalog where you’ll see existing troops that are welcoming new girls and new troops that are in the process of forming.

Become a Juliette

Some may think of Girl Scouts as a troop-only activity, but Girl Scouts continues to offer opportunities for girls to participate without being in a troop. Individually registered girls are referred to as "Juliettes," after our founder, Juliette Gordon Low. Girl Scout Juliettes can do everything girls in troops do, like attend virtual and in-person programs and camps, earn badges and awards, and even sell cookies! Girls can take the lead in identifying badges and programs that appeal to them, and can participate frequently (regularly, throughout the year) or infrequently (by attending camp or participating in a program or two).
