Grades K-1: Join Us for the First-Ever Daisy Day Event at Camp Lakamaga!
Calling all Daisies, troop leaders, and parents-get ready for an unforgettable day of outdoor adventure and hands-on learning at our very first Daisy Day event! During this event, Girl Scouts will discover the joys of the outdoors while gaining essential skills to explore the world around them.
Participants will dive into a variety of exciting, interactive stations focused on building the skills every adventurer needs. From learning how to be safe and prepared outdoors to discovering the wonders of Minnesota nature, Daisies will leave feeling empowered and ready for their next adventure. One of the highlights of the event is the opportunity for each Daisy to build and take home their very own first aid kit-an essential tool for any young explorer. In addition to first aid skills, Daisies will engage in fun and hands-on activities where they gain outdoor safety knowledge, practice the Girl Scout Law, and more!
Girl Scouts are welcome to attend individually or with their troop.
Included: patch, first aid supplies, tote bag, afternoon snack
Adult/Youth Ratio: Adult chaperones are required to register and attend with youth members. Please limit adult registration and attendance to 1-2 adults for every 6 youth
Adult Volunteers: During this event, troop leaders and other adult volunteers will have the opportunity to earn their First Aid/ CPR certification! Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive their First Aid/ CPR certification from the American Red Cross, which is valid for two years. Participants must complete online pre-work (about three hours) prior to the in-person skills session. The in-person skills session is 2.5 hours. Space is limited and registration is required. Registration for the session can be added on when registering Girl Scouts for the Daisy Day event. Please note that your Girl Scouts must still have adult supervision of 1-2 adults for every 6 youth, so please take this into consideration when registering.
