Grades 6-8:

Join Trout Unlimited's Kiap-TU-Wish Chapter for a day of fun and learning on the Rush River in Ellsworth Wisconsin! STREAM Girls is a watershed-based education program that employs STEM education and recreation and the arts to explore a local watershed. During the program, you'll assess a community stream, sample macroinvertebrates, journal and sketch your experiences, tie a fishing fly, learn to cast a fly rod, and more! You'll learn important STEM lessons while engaging in a community's important water resource, so you can learn skills to become a water conservation steward in your own community. By participating, you'll earn a STREAM Girls fun patch!

The program will take place outdoors or in a large indoor space. No previous fly-fishing experience or water science knowledge is required. Expect to be physically active/standing for most of the day.

Included: Stream Girl participation patch; lunch and snacks.

Adult/Youth Ratio: Adult chaperones are required to register and attend with girls. Please limit adult registration and attendance to 1-2 adults for every 10 girls.
