Grades 3-5: In this interactive workshop, Minnesota childrens book authors Payal Doshi and Cristina Oxtra will unleash students imagination by teaching them how to apply basic elements of a story to create their own works of fiction. They will engage in writing exercises to build believable, immersive settings and establish a thrilling plot. They will also collaborate in a group activity to help them develop compelling, relatable characters. Armed with the knowledge they gain from the workshop, students will have a story they can take home and continue to write! Payal and Cristina will also read excerpts from their books and host a question and answer!

This event is open to 3rd grade Brownie Girl Scouts that want to try-out a Junior badge.

Included: Scribe badge, snack

Adult/Youth Ratio: Adult chaperones are required to register and attend with youth members. Please limit adult registration and attendance to 1-2 adults for every 10 youth.
