Grades 6-12: Join us and your fellow Girl Scouts for an LGBTQ biking tour of Minneapolis! Get to know some LGBTQ owned and operated spaces on this 8 mile loop; we will start and end at Loring Park, exploring South Minneapolis along the way. Along our route we will visit and meet with some LBGT owned and operated businesses.

This 8-mile bike ride is mostly flat and on city streets. Participants will be riding on streets with on-street bike lanes and on-street seperated bike lanes, as well as a bike boulevard, which is a road without designated bike lanes, but bikes have the right of way! We will stop throughout the bike ride to visit and learn about LGBT spaces in Minneapolis. Bike riding experience is necessary; participants should feel comfortable biking 8-miles in a city environment.

Participants should bring their own bike, helmet, and water bottle. Participants can bring other pads as they find necessary.

While this event is uplifting LGBTQ voices and stories, it is open and welcome to anyone who wants to sign up.

In case of inclement weather, this event will be held June 1, 2024.

Included: Fun patch, snack

Adult/Youth Ratio: Adults need not attend with their youth, however spaces are available to accommodate a few adults who want to ride and learn with their youth.
