Wilderness Trip: 8-Day Manitowish River Canoe at Camp Northwoods (Grades 6-9) Jul 23

Hit the trail in this wilderness trip session, where you’ll experience all the excitement and adventure of canoe camping. You’ll spend the first days at camp prepping for your trip, then you’ll head out for an 8-day canoe trip on the Manitowish River in Wisconsin. Each day you will paddle down the river and set up camp at a different riverside campsite. Continue to refine your paddling and navigation techniques as you enjoy the spectacular natural scenery and maybe even spot wildlife like eagles, otters, and beavers. After completing your canoe trip, you’ll return to Camp Northwoods to clean up and celebrate. Previous canoeing and remote camping experience recommended. Cadettes will earn their Trailblazer and Primitive Camper Badges; Seniors will earn the Adventure Camper Badge (included). 

Since our longer trip programs can be challenging, we ask trip campers to fill out this pre-survey about their experience level after registering for 6 day or longer trips. This helps us make the experience safer and more enjoyable for all campers. 

Grade levels: Register at the grade your camper is CURRENTLY in for the 2022/23 school year. 

Payment details: This camp session has a minimum deposit. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Full payment is due 30 days prior to the first day of the camp session.

The deposit from your cancelled session cannot be transferred, nor refunded. To receive a refund, less the non-transferable/non-refundable deposit, we must receive your cancellation notice by the posted cancellation deadline (30 days prior to the program start date). To cancel your registration, submit the Events & Camp Cancellation Form.
