Wilderness Trip: 3-Day Backpacking Lake Maria State Park at Camp Lakamaga (Grades 4-7) Jul 16

Hit the trails in this popular camp session where you’ll experience all the excitement and adventure of backpacking through Lake Maria State Park. You’ll spend the first days at Camp Lakamaga preparing for your trip. After you’ve packed, you’ll take a van ride to Lake Maria State Park near Monticello, Minnesota (about 1.5 hours away). There you’ll head out on a three-day backpacking trip exploring marshes, lakes, and one of the few remaining stands of “Big Woods” left in southern Minnesota. Each day you will load up your backpacks and hike to a different site to camp for the night. After your trip, you’ll head back to Lakamaga for a (well-deserved) hot shower and celebratory feast. Get away from it all and make some epic memories—all while sharpening your backpacking and outdoor camping skills. Previous tent camping experience is recommended. Juniors will earn their Camper and Trail Adventure badges. Cadettes will earn the Primitive Camper and Trail Adventure badges (included).  

Grade levels:Register at the grade your camper is CURRENTLY in for the2022/23 school year. 

Payment details:This camp session has a minimum deposit. Deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Full payment is due 30 days prior to the first day of the camp session.

The deposit from your cancelled session cannot be transferred, nor refunded. To receive a refund, less the non-transferable/non-refundable deposit, we must receive your cancellation notice by the posted cancellation deadline (30 days prior to the program start date).
