Join NAMI Minnesota in learning about mental illness in youth. Early Warning Signs is a workshop whose educational objectives are to help adults learn early warning signs of mental illnesses and trauma, gain an understanding of the impact of mental Illnesses and trauma on children and youth, and learn strategies to support children who live with an illness. Suicide warning signs and resources are also covered. This training is intended for Troop Leaders, volunteers, parents, guardians, or any adult who interacts with Girl Scouts.
NAMI Minnesota (National Alliance on Mental Illness) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving the lives of children and adults with mental illnesses and their families. NAMI Minnesota champions justice, dignity, and respect for all people affected by mental illnesses. Through education, support, and advocacy they strive to effect positive changes in the mental health system and increase the public and professional understanding of mental illnesses.
