Grades 6-12: Come learn how to ice climb with Girl Scouts! This fun event includes all the ice climbing gear you'll need and is taught by the experienced staff with Allen Wiberg Outdoors! In your class you will learn how to properly put on your gear, and how to climb up beautiful ice structures. After that, you'll be ready to challenge yourself by climbing up beginner ice structures and work your way up to more difficult areas when you feel ready.
Included: Outdoor Snow Adventure Badge. A gluten free, nut free, vegetarian snack will be provided. All other snow gear is not included in the class- please wear your own snow pants, layers, jacket, warm socks, a thin hat, and waterproof gloves or mittens. We recommend not bringing your nicest snow pants in case of a tear on the climbing gear, as well as extra mittens and hand warmers as we will be outside for 3 hours.
Adult/Youth Ratio: Adult chaperones are required to register and attend with girls. Please limit adult registration and attendance to 1-2 adults for every 10 girls.
