Grades 2-5: Join us for Girl Scout Day at the Capitol 2023! You’ll virtually experience the Minnesota State Capitol, discover how to be an advocate, and explore how to use your personal strengths to make a difference! You will also learn how to communicate with your local legislator to share what you’re passionate about. This is a great event for Girl Scouts looking to make a difference in their community, to have their voice heard, or to pursue a Take Action or Silver or Gold Award project.

Included: All registrants will receive a package in the mail including an activity booklet for the program, fun stickers, an exclusive participation patch, a step-by-step guide to advocating for issues you care about, and a postcard to send to your legislator.

Adult/Youth Ratio: This is a youth-only event, no adults are required to register.Adults are expected to provide at home supervision for the program.

Attending this event will help you work toward earning your Democracy Badge. You’ll complete the step: Find out about state government. Plus, we’ll send you recommendations on how to finish earning your badge.

This event is open to Girl Scouts from Girl Scouts River Valleys, Girl Scouts Lakes and Pines, and Girl Scouts Dakota Horizons.

Attend this program by itself OR extend your learning by also joining us for In-Person Day at the Capitol on March 11, where you’ll explore the Minnesota State Capitol building through an exciting scavenger hunt, meet women advocates, and more.
