Think like an Engineer at Camp Edith Mayo
Grades 4-8: It’s a sports engineering event! In teams, you’ll experience the world of sporting through the eyes of an engineer. As you prototype your own diving platform, compete in boat design challenge, and test your hand at a shot-put catapult, you’ll explore the whole engineering design process and walk away feeling confident in taking action in your community.
This event is open to troops and individual Girl Scouts. Groups will receive an assigned check in time between 9am-10:30am approximately 1 week before the event. Participants should expect to spend approximately 2 hours exploring Camp Edith Mayo.
Included: Girl Scouts will earn the Think like an Engineer Award.
Adult/Girl Ratio: Adult chaperones are required to register and attend with girls. Approximately 1 adult for up to 5 girls. (More adults are welcome to register if desired.)
