*Live Online* Something Happened in Our Community: A conversation about current events and race
Join us for a reading and discussion of the children’s book, Something Happened in Our Town. The book, which follows a white family and Black family in the aftermath of a police shooting, will help engage Girl Scouts and their families in processing current events, talking about race and racism, and their role in speaking up against injustice.
Participants will have an opportunity to submit questions via Zoom that will be addressed during the event. This is a family program and an adult should be present with their Girl Scout to help guide the conversation. Girl Scouts of any age can attend this program, but content will be aimed at Daisies and Brownies.
