New troop leaders are invited to join a new leader cohort to jumpstart your Girl Scout year alongside other new leaders. Led by Girl Scouts River Valleys staff, you’ll discover everything you need to know to start your troop successfully from the moment you sign on as a troop leader to the end of your first full troop year. We’ll provide the training, meeting plans, and a whole network of support. Training will be offered through virtual group meetings or in-person meetups, and will cover topics like:
- How to invite and welcome new Girl Scouts and families into your troop
- When and where to meet with your troop
- Where to find Girl Scout resources like meeting plans
- How to run your first meeting and plan your future ones
