Girl Scouts have fun year-round, and for hearty Midwesterners like us, that means during the winter too! In Girl Scouting, there is plenty of adventure to be had and skills to learn during our coldest months, both indoors and out. From cross-country skiing and ice fishing to learning financial literacy skills during the Cookie Program, you too can get in on the excitement this winter. Join Girl Scouts today and start exploring your winter options! The possibilities are endless, but here are a few highlights:
- Attend a winter-themed event like Ski and Snowshoe at Camp Lakamaga or Brrrring it on! at Camp Edith Mayo. Girls celebrate all things winter at their favorite camp by playing winter sports like broomball or snowshoeing, honing in on winter survival skills, and warming up with some hot cocoa.
- If playing in the snow and cold is not your favorite, try an indoor activity like our Journey Jumpstart events—where girls Discover, Connect, and Take Action to make the world a better place.
- Participate in the largest girl-led business in the country…the Girl Scout Cookie Program! Girls develop confidence and challenge themselves as they tackle goal setting, business etiquette, and budget planning (and maybe sampling a cookie or two along the way)! The Cookie Program is a great mid-winter pick-me-up as it runs in February and March each year.
Don’t be stuck at home all winter long! Become a Girl Scout today and see what the year has in store.
