Girl Scouts has a long history of helping girls unleash their inner G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader). Through fun traditions like camping and helping others, to tackling new, exciting topics in STEM–you too can have a blast and grow your leadership skills in Girl Scouts. When you join, there are so many ways you can experience the fun Girl Scouting has to offer, including attending events offered by Girl Scouts River Valleys. Each fall, a favorite event of many new and returning girls and volunteers is Girl Scout Way Day, where you learn about our organization’s history AND cool stuff you can do this year!
At Girl Scout Way Day you can:
- Explore everything Girl Scouts has to offer—from outdoor adventure, to the creative arts, to the most prestigious award for girls (the Gold Award)!
- Experience Girl Scouts through hands-on activities—learn about cybersecurity by building defenses for a castle, go for some target practice at our archery and slingshot ranges, meet a legislator and write to representatives about issues you care about, and create your own Girl Scout traditions to swap with other girls.
- Make a s’more over the fire–enjoyed by girls like you for over a century!
- If you’re interested in attending the Elk River event, you’d be the first to check out Camp Elk River’s brand-new Equestrian Center and meet a couple of our horses.
We hope you’ll join over 2.6 million other girls in the preeminent leadership organization for girls this fall—and see you at Girl Scout Way Day!
