2019 Early Bird

Unlock Your Chance to Win Exciting Girl Scout Experiences

As spring arrives, we’re thinking ahead to the next Girl Scout year and all the fun in store. During Early Bird season, we offer Girl Scout members the opportunity to register for the upcoming membership year and get in on some great perks. This year’s Early Bird season is from April 1–May 31, 2018 and features our Early Bird mascot, the adorable black-capped chickadee.

Learn more about our Early Bird with this activity plan.

Girls and adults who register as members for the 2018–2019 Girl Scout year during Early Bird will receive the 2019 Early Bird patch and a Girl Scout Shop punch card which gives you 15% off any item purchased in the store on 12 separate visits, between July 2018 and June 2019 (mailed out in June). Troop leaders who register during Early Bird will also receive a troop leader Girl Scout Shop coupon (via email in June) for $10 off $50 or $20 off $100 (valid July 1–Dec. 15, 2018).

This year, we're offering one-of-a-kind benefits for girls, troop leaders, and service unit teams who renew during Early Bird—plus, special drawings for troops and service units. Click here for an overview of Early Bird benefits.

Service Unit Benefits

The Fine Print

Example: If you had 13 girls as of March 16, 2018, you must renew at least one troop leader and register 7 girls (round up). Both renewing and new members count toward the goal. New troops formed between April 1–May 31, 2018 qualify if they have one troop leader and at least three girls registered for the 2018–2019 membership year.
  • Winners of biweekly drawings during Early Bird campaign will be notified via email on the Tuesday following the drawing. The Connections newsletter following each drawing will include the troop number of winners.
    • Winning troops may be asked to provide a photo of their troop and share a little about their Girl Scout experiences.
  • Winners of the end of campaign drawings will be notified via email by June 13.
    • Unless otherwise specified, there will be 1 troop winner for each end of campaign benefit.
  • Prizes are not transferable.
