2018 Annual Meeting

Girl Scouts at the Annual Meeting

We’re several weeks into the new Girl Scout year and planning for the 2018 Annual Meeting is in full swing! Girl Scouts River Valleys’ 2018 Annual Meeting will be held on Saturday, February 10, 2018 at the Diamondhead Education Center in Burnsville, MN.

We're changing it up this year by kicking the day off with a continental breakfast and then moving to the Business Meeting! As a member, you'll hear about the financial health and goals of Girl Scouts River Valleys and how we're addressing key factors affecting the organization. We'll also vote to elect board officers, directors-at-large, and board development committee members.

During lunch, we will recognize longtime volunteers in the Girl Scout movement and lead a Girl Scout rally to unleash the inner G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ in all of us!

We’re enthusiastic about the work the Girl Leadership Board has achieved and pleased they will again host a girl-only (ages 14–17) 90-minute session: The Power of Your Voice—What's Your #girlscoutstory?

Adult breakout sessions will follow (40 minutes in length; with each breakout offered twice, allowing you to select two of the following):

  • Let Go—Let Girls Lead! (Girl Scout Ambassador, Piper Dutton)
  • Speak Up, Stand Up For Girls (Capacity Building Director, Liana Tessum)
  • Leaving a Lasting Legacy (Development Team)
  • Adventure Awaits: New Opportunities in STEM, Outdoors, and More! (Program Team)

Registration for the 2018 Annual Meeting closed on January 4, 2018, at 11:59 pm.

As a reminder, service unit delegate elections were to be held in each service unit by September 15. Once elected, each delegate and alternate delegate should have submitted the Delegate Submission Form to Girl Scouts River Valleys. If you are a delegate and have not yet completed the delegate form, promptly submit this form to ensure priority registration to the events after the Business Meeting.
