Girl Scout Early Bird season has officially started—it’s a great way to get your ducks in a row!
The Low-Down: Early Bird is an annual season when we start to wrap up the current Girl Scout year and prep for next year by offering members early membership renewal (that comes with perks!).
The Dates: This year’s Early Bird season runs from May 1 to July 16.
The Perks: Girl Scout members who renew their membership for the 2017-2018 Girl Scout year during this time frame will receive the 2018 Early Bird patch and a shop punch card, which gives you 15% off any item purchased in the store on 12 separate visits, between August 2017 and July 2018. The Early Bird patch and shop punch card will be mailed in August directly to members.
The Process: Troop leaders and service unit volunteers have been given the opportunity to renew troops prior to today, so you may have already been contacted by your troop leader or service unit volunteer regarding renewing your membership. If not, you can learn more about the renewal process, find answers to frequently asked questions, and renew your membership online here.
Bonus Fun: Every year we choose a special bird to be our Early Bird mascot, and this year, we’re all about the mallard duckling! To get girls more acquainted with this lovable bird, our volunteer support team developed an Early Bird activity plan, which is filled with mallard duckling fun facts, games, and activities. (Our favorite is the “Create Your Own Duck Call” activity—we really “quacked” ourselves up with that one!)
We hope you have a fantastic spring and take advantage of these Early Bird perks! Learn more and renew your membership here.
