Apply for the Lakamaga Money-Earning Opportunity by June 1

Cadette, Seniors and Ambassadors

2012 Lakamaga Conference
August 17–19

The Lakamaga Adult Education Conference committee is currently accepting applications from Girl Scout Cadette, Senior or Ambassador troops who wish to earn money for their troop and/or get volunteer service hours by helping at the Lakamaga Adult Education Conference on August 17–19, 2012. Applications are due by June 1.

Two troops will be selected to assist at the conference, the canteen troop and the parking troop. Meals and sleeping accommodations will be provided. The sleeping accommodations may be trail tents depending on space available. Compensation for troop service is $300.

In order to apply troops must:

• Have at least eight girls and two adults (smaller troops may find other troops to work with, apply together and split the compensation)
• Have a first-aid trained volunteer with you

Available positions

Canteen troop:

• Dining hall setup and arrangement—ongoing all weekend  
• Stock/restocking the pop, water, chips and candy bars for the snack stations at class locations (troop purchases items for the snack stations)
• Restocking all bathrooms and latrines with toilet paper and towels throughout the weekend
• Other duties as assigned

Parking troop:

• Monitoring and running the parking areas throughout the weekend
• Clean-up and pack-up duties on Sunday
• Other duties as assigned

Troops need to be available from Friday, August 17 at 1 p.m. through Sunday, August 19 at 2 p.m, and available for a pre-conference orientation (date TBD).
