Take Action Basics: Light Their Fire

Are you and your girls ready to raise the bar from community service to Take Action? Then Take Action Basics: Light Their Fire (3 hours) is the training session for you! Here’s what participants are saying:

“Awesome presenter and program.”

“Very good class and information.”

“I learned to help the girls make Girl Scouts their own experience.”

Participants in this session learn about the five outcomes of the Take Action Key in-depth:

  1. Girls can identify community needs
  2. Girls are resourceful problem solvers
  3. Girls advocated for themselves, locally and globally
  4. Girls educate and inspire others to act
  5. Girls feel empowered to make a difference in the world

Participants also gain a better understanding of girl progression, mapping community needs, making a project measurable and sustainable and advocating as a way to educate and inspire others to act.

Take Action Basics: Light Their Fire is offered at adult education conferences and Training Blitzes. To find out where this session is being offered, go to the River Valleys Online Registration Homepage, choose Adult Training & Events and then Leadership Training.

For volunteers who’ve had Take Action experiences with girls, check out the Girl Scout Take Action Capacity Building Ning website and request to join as a member.
