Steps to becoming a Girl Scout volunteer

These steps are for people who have already connected with a troop, volunteer organizer, or council staff member about volunteering for Girl Scouts. If you are not yet connected, please complete a volunteer interest form. 

If you've already contacted us, you're ready to start the application process.

Follow these steps:

1. Register for membership
   
   • Adult registration form
2. Complete an online background check using the instruction document(s) below.
   • Text-only instructions (printer-friendly) or instructions with screenshots

3. Complete training sessions for new volunteers
