Horse Camp for Troops: Intermediate at Whispering Hills

This weekend is perfect for girls who have riding experience or have done Horse Tails or the Introductory Horse Camp for Troops. Troops work with horses in small groups to practice saddling, bridling and hitching horses. They learn to mount and dismount correctly, and turn and stop a horse on command at a walk and a trot. Girls ride through camp on a trail and learn more about horse anatomy, equipment and grooming. Each girl has four hours of horse time, including two hours on a horse. Adults must attend but they do not ride.
