Ways to Be a Girl Scout
Joining a troop is only one way to be a Girl Scout. Our pathways offer the opportunity to mix and match events and activities to suit your schedule and interests. Choose one pathway, or all of them!

Join a Troop
The troop pathway offers groups the opportunity to participate in a structured, mentor-led program. Girls earn badges, work towards awards, and sample a variety of fun Girl Scout events, camps, and other pathways together. Learn more about the troop pathway.

Design Your Own Program
Our other pathways offer the opportunity to mix and match events and activities to suit your schedule and interests. Whether you participate in one event or engage in an ongoing activity, you are officially a Girl Scout! Find stuff to do now!
Go to Camp
The camp pathway features day, weekend and resident experiences that explore the great outdoors. Learn more about the camp pathway.
Attend an Event
Girls on the events pathway participate in one or many standalone programs. Learn more about the events pathway.
Join a Series
Girls participate in multi-session activities or courses for the duration of the series. Learn more about the series pathway.
Travel the World
Seek new horizons and cross-cultural understanding through travel — from local to international. Learn more about the travel pathway.
Be an Adult Member
Any adult — female or male — can be a Girl Scout. Whether you’re a parent ready for an outdoor adventure with your daughter’s troop, an alumnae who wants to stay in touch, a donor who wishes to ensure every girl can participate, a volunteer who commits to making a difference in a girl’s life, or just someone who believes in the Girl Scout mission, join us!
