Girl Scout Gold Award
As part of a movement of 10 million girls worldwide, you are in an exceptional position to take action in your community to make the world a better place. By earning the Girl Scout Gold Award—the highest award a Girl Scout Senior or Girl Scout Ambassador can earn—you will be joining the ranks of generations of young women who have made a difference in their communities both locally and globally.
You can choose to use the 2010 Girl Scout Gold Award guidelines or the previous guidelines to earn your award. If you choose to use the previous guidelines, one of the pre-requisites must be completed prior to December 31, 2009.
Girl Scout Gold Award 2009-2010 PR Kit
Important dates to remember
- November 1, 2009 - All parts of the Girl Scout Gold Award project application must be mailed and postmarked by this date in order to be recognized at the Spring 2010 Girl Scout Gold and Silver Award Recognition Ceremony.
- December 15, 2009 - Project must be presented to the approval committee by candidate in order to be recognized at the Spring 2010 Girl Scout Gold and Silver Award Recognition Ceremony.
- December 31, 2009 – One pre-requisite must be completed if following the 2009 Girl Scout Gold Award guidelines.
- March 1, 2010 - Last day to submit Girl Scout Gold Award Final Reports in order to be recognized at the Spring 2010 Girl Scout Silver and Gold Award Recognition Ceremony. Mailed paperwork must be postmarked by March 1, 2010. Final reports submitted after March 1 will be recognized the following year.
- September 30, 2010- Last day to submit Girl Scout Gold Award Final Reports for girls that have completed 12th grade.
Girl Scouts Silver Award
Have you ever looked around your neighborhood or school and wondered how you could make a change for the better? Going for the Girl Scout Silver Award—the highest award a Girl Scout Cadette can earn—gives you the chance to show that you are a leader who is organized, determined, and dedicated to improving your community.
You can choose to use the 2010 Girl Scout Silver Award guidelines or the previous guidelines to earn your award. If you choose to use the previous guidelines, one of the pre-requisites must be completed prior to December 31, 2009.

Girl Scout Juniors that are in 5th grade can choose to use either the 2010 Girl Scout Bronze Award guidelines or the previous guidelines to earn your award.
