Anything they set their minds to. Girl Scouts choose the hands-on activities they want to try. They build courage, confidence, and character and change their communities—all while having fun with their friends.

How does it work?

Girl Scouts participate in small groups called troops, typically meeting once or twice a month for activities, adventures, and projects. Guided by caring adult volunteers, troop members help choose experiences that interest them.

When can I get started?

Whenever you’re ready! Youth in grades K–12 can join Girl Scouts throughout the year. We’ll help you find a troop or explore other ways to participate.
