Lakamaga Conference
Join River Valleys August 16–18 for the annual Lakamaga Adult Education Conference.
One-of-a-Kind Learning Experience
Enjoy learning and relaxing at camp, networking with other volunteers, shopping at the Girl Scout Shop and being part of an historic event that has taken place for more than 40 years!
Attend training sessions and enrichment workshops that are developed with all types of leaders—new, returning, outdoor and service—in mind. Session topics mirror the Planning Guide focus areas, the National Program Portfolio and additional River Valleys opportunities.
Back again this year is the Outdoor Immersion designed for both new and seasoned adult campers. Practice skills needed to take girls into outdoor settings while living the camp experience themselves.

Money-Earning Opportunities for Girls
History of the Lakamaga Conference
For more than 40 years, volunteers have been attending the Lakamaga Adult Education Conference to learn Girl Scouting skills while making new friends in a camp environment.
The traditional conference setting includes a variety of sessions related to leader training, activities with girls, outdoor skills and much more. Additionally, participants can attend the Outdoor Immersion experience which focuses on outdoor skills as participants set up and live in a troop camp experience throughout the weekend. Attend sessions such as fire building, ultra–light backpacking and spend the evening singing camp songs around the camp fire. Plan to attend with a friend, co-leader or on your own and join over 250 volunteers for this exciting conference.
