Future Gifts

Planned Gifts

A planned gift allows you to incorporate charitable intentions into your long-term financial planning. Whether we receive your gift now or later, you can benefit immediately with substantial tax savings, retirement income, and/or a more convenient asset transfer to heirs. More information from GSUSA

Retirement Assets

One frequently overlooked way you can make a charitable contribution is by using your IRA, qualified retirement plan assets, or commercial annuities.

Endowment Gifts

An endowment gift is a donation which is invested by Girl Scout River Valleys. Its principal remains intact, while the earnings support our charitable efforts. The fund can be directed to support specific activities or to preserve a program.

Juliette Gordon Low Society

Become a member of the Juliette Gordon Low Society (JGL) by making a gift to the endowment fund. The Juliette Gordon Low Society was established in 1984 and ensures the ongoing financial stability of the council. Making a gift to the JGL endowment fund helps provide Girl Scouting to future generations.

Becoming a Member

To join the JGL Society, individuals, couples, or organizations can include River Valleys in a will or as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, name River Valleys in a charitable trust agreement, or make a cash gift of $1,000 or more.
