Grades 2-12: Create your own exciting day at camp! You'll get to choose three of the following activities: kayaking, archery, fire-building, outdoor shelter-building, nature-inspired art, building a bird house, and low ropes (a team-building adventure course). This event is perfect for first-time campers who want to try out camp for a day, but is also open to experienced campers who just want to spend the day doing their favorite activities. While kids play a large group game between activities, adults will be invited to take a tour of Camp Lakamaga with one of our Camp Directors, who can answer all your questions about summer camp including safety, paying for camp, meals, staffing, and sleeping arrangements for overnight camps. We'll provide make-your-own lunches with sandwiches, veggies, chips, and fruit, as well as an afternoon snack.

This event is open to troops or individuals attending with adult chaperones and includes bus transportation from either the St Paul or Brooklyn Center Girl Scout office to Camp Lakamaga and back. A few weeks before the event, you'll receive a form to fill out with your activity preferences and whether you will be taking the bus. Troops may split up and do different activities as long as each group has a chaperone.
If you choose not to take the bus then plan to arrive at camp at 9:45am; departure at 5pm.

Included: Camp patch, lunch, snack, optional bus transportation from St Paul or Brooklyn Center

Adult/Youth Ratio: Only 1 adult is required to register and attend with every 10 youth members. More may register as needed by the troop.
