Your acknowledgement of the importance of Girl Scouts’ mission and your trust in us to deliver it are the ultimate gifts. Through our giving societies, Girl Scouts River Valleys expresses our deep gratitude and shows benefactors how their generosity helps girls live the mission of Girl Scouting.

Emerald Society

donate-emerald-societyThe Emerald Society recognizes individuals who give $1,000 or more during a fiscal year (October–September). Recognition includes:

  • A commemorative pin and certificate
  • Special invitations to River Valleys’ events
  • Publications updating benefactors on the impact of their support
  • Recognition in the annual report*

Leadership Society

The Leadership Society recognizes individuals whose lifetime gifts total $5,000 or more. Recognition includes:

  • Opportunities to engage with River Valleys leadership and other benefactors who share a commitment to Girl Scouting
  • Publications updating benefactors on the impact of their support

Within the Leadership Society, gifts are recognized at the following levels:

  • Courage Circle: Lifetime gifts of $5,000+
  • Confidence Circle: Lifetime gifts of $100,000+
  • Character Circle: Lifetime gifts of $500,000+

Juliette Gordon Low Society


Become a member of the Juliette Gordon Low Society by including River Valleys in a will or as a beneficiary of a life insurance policy, naming River Valleys in a charitable trust agreement, or making a gift of $1000 or more to the endowment.

Members of the Juliette Gordon Low Society are recognized at an annual luncheon, held in the fall.

If you have already named Girl Scouts River Valleys as the beneficiary of a planned gift, let us know. We will welcome you as a Juliette Gordon Low Society member.
