Girl Scouts River Valleys believes that building strong girls will produce long-term returns in economic development, social progress and public health–improving not only individual lives, but the fabric of society as a whole.
We Are Grateful for Support in These Areas
Camp is more than just spending time outdoors–it’s an experience to learn life skills. Whether resident or day camp, these outdoor adventures allow girls the chance to come together in a supportive, “unplugged” environment and challenge themselves to try new things.
At a time when many families in our community face financial challenges, no one is excluded from Girl Scouting because of an inability to pay. We provide financial assistance for national membership dues, books and materials, program events, camp, girl uniforms, and adult trainings.
Last year alone, we provided $615,000 in financial assistance.
River Valleys’ Girl Scouts learn about money–how to make it, spend it, save it, and share it. Our financial education curriculum helps girls learn how to use money wisely, become educated consumers, develop the business skills necessary to succeed in the workplace, and become independent women who can support themselves and give back to their communities.
From developing new programming to innovative volunteer support, general operating support helps River Valleys direct resources to projects where they are needed most.

Stories about Girls + STEM
Science, Technology, Engineering + Math (STEM)
Girl Scouts believes that exposing girls to STEM early in their lives will help them gain confidence in future career opportunities.
For girls, being healthy is more than just eating right and exercising – it is also about feeling good and being supported by family and peers.
