Meet the Mascot: Olive the Ocelot
Each season, we have a new mascot to lead Girl Scouts through the program. Meet this season’s mascot, Olive the Ocelot, who will help you “Own Your Magic” in the fall.
Ocelots are small cats that live in ranges from very southern Texas to areas in South America. They have very good vision and hearing and see better in the dark than we can. The word “ocelot” comes from the Mexican Aztec tlalocelot, which means “field tiger.” The species that inhabit Texas are classified as federally endangered with less than 100 ocelots known to exist in the entire United States.
