As part of the Girl Scout Daisies “5 Flowers, 4 Stories, 3 Cheers for Animal!” project, these girls learned more about how to take care of animals and created and installed a bird bath in Carver’s Gazebo Park.

Girl Scouts River Valleys’ Gold Award recipient, Andrea Rustad, was featured in the Twin Cities Pioneer Press this weekend for her project, “Feed and Flutter: Promoting Monarch Habitats” that addressed the declining number of monarchs by working to preserve monarch butterfly habitats and help her city of Stillwater, MN establish pollinator-safe policies.
