River Valleys Girl Scout Olivia Trudeau received her Gold Award and a $3,500 college scholarship for her project “Stamping out Stigma”, a program she created at her high school in Maple Grove to address the lack of understanding surrounding mental illness. Girl Scouts River Valleys’ Gold Award recipient, Andrea Rustad, was featured in the Twin Cities Pioneer Press this weekend for her project, “Feed and Flutter: Promoting Monarch Habitats” that addressed the declining number of monarchs by working to preserve monarch butterfly habitats and help her city of Stillwater, MN establish pollinator-safe policies.
